New Life Iboga
New Life Iboga is an iboga center located in San Ramon, Costa Rica. Our focus is to provide safe and therapeutic ceremonies to those seeking healing through sacred plants. We offer spiritual retreats with iboga, ayahuasca or both through a joint program. It is our mission to bring the history of these plants into our retreats in a way that honors their respective traditions while still incorporating western safety protocols.
Our staff have all been involved in working with plant medicine since 2014. Jeanae White and Matthew Mormello run the ayahuasca retreats and offer support to Wesley Burkart, the director of our ibogaine program. All 3 have had their lives transformed with the assistance of sacred plant medicines. Iboga and Bwiti have had a profound impact on each of them, and in 2017 Jeanae and Matt traveled to Gabon where Matt completed his initiation in to Bwiti and then the two were married in a Bwiti Ceremony at Ebando.
COMMUNITY AND INTEGRATION
We have learned so much from iboga and believe it is important to support that which has helped helped us grow. From every treatment, we donate a percentage to support iboga sustainability practices and to help our spiritual family at Ebando. As ibogaine continues to grow and as more people discover the beauty and power of this medicine in conjunction with deforestation and urbanization, we must find ways to keep iboga in abundance.
Integration of the experience is equally important. Working together with Brian Murphy M.Ed, LCSW who has been working with people after taking psychedelics since 2003.
Using iboga and ibogaine safely is of the utmost importance. We implement a strict and rigorous medical screening process to ensure the safety of all of our ibogaine treatment participants. In addition to pre-screening and requiring medical tests, we also employ a medical doctor to monitor each guest throughout the iboga ceremony. We are fully equipped with emergency medical equipment and medications.
